John Sanders
Founder

John Sanders’ impressive career in the green industry began when he launched a landscaping business during his sophomore year of high school. John went on to attend Yale University and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. During college, and upon his graduation, John spent a decade operating his landscape design and installation business, ultimately selling it in 1998. In 2000, John joined Weed Man USA as a Master Franchisor, helping to develop the brand in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and serving as high-level support for franchisees in the area. In 2002, John opened his own Weed Man franchise office in Glen Mills, PA. The franchise operation has grown to include multiple offices servicing customers in eastern and central Pennsylvania.

Steve Sanders
Director of Team and Culture

Steve started in the lawn care industry back in high school where he held summer jobs that instilled a love for the business and a beautiful weed-free lawn. He came to Weed Man more recently, bringing his experience leading strategy and operations management at some of the biggest names in the financial services industry. Steve is a proud University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hen and has his Master's in Business Administration from Villanova.  When not at work, he lives in Malvern, coaches his son's little league team, and cheers on his daughter's swim team.  He and his wife, Teresa, enjoy excursions to Longwood Gardens to take in the scenery.  You might even find Steve on the golf links appreciating some well-groomed turf on the fairways and greens.

Matt Mastrangelo
Director of Sales, Marketing & Customer Service

Matt Mastrangelo grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from Bayard Rustin in 2009. Starting with Weed Man in 2008, Matt was able to turn what was an after-school job into a career. Matt started his journey with Weed Man as a Customer Outreach Representative and has worked his way through Marketing, Sales, Administrative and management positions. He's also no stranger to the lawns as he worked as a lawn technician and has held a pesticide license in Pennsylvania since 2014. As the Director of Sales, Marketing and Customer service, Matt currently oversees his departments to ensure the company continues its growth and constant improvement while providing the absolute best service possible for our clients both on and off the lawns. Matt enjoys spending time with his family and naturally enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, competitive trap disc shooting and traveling. 

Christian Graham
Marketing Manager 

Christian Graham started with Weed Man in 2011 immediately after graduating from West Chester University. From there, he worked his way up to the position of Marketing Manager where he educates customers, reinforces cultures, and leads and supports the team. He loves helping his fellow employees grow in their positions and in life, personally and professionally. In his free time, you will typically find Christian playing video games on his PC or Switch, spending time with his friends and family, or playing Ukulele. He also loves traveling and going to concerts, especially when his favorite band Primus is playing! Christian currently lives in Harrisburg, PA with his wife as they are expecting a child due in November (congrats)!

Wayne Crouch
Technical Supervisor

Wayne started with Weed Man Lawn Care in January 2020. As a Technical Supervisor here in Mechanicsburg, PA, Wayne enjoys working with, training, and motivating the technicians to be the best that they can be. He always found the training to be very rewarding, especially when he sees his techs’ success. In addition, he thoroughly enjoys educating our customers. Wayne approaches every property as if it was his own, and he shares that enthusiasm wherever his job takes him. Outside of work, Wayne loves the outdoors. Things like hiking, fishing, and camping are activities Wayne has taken part in and enjoyed for as long as he can remember. He finds peace and beauty in being outside in nature.

Wayne Keith
Customer Service Manager

Wayne Keith started with Weed Man recently in June of 2022. Wayne brings several years of Customer Service experience across many different fields, mainly working for 7 years in Human Services. In this role, he works directly with families of adults with intellectual disabilities. In his free time, Wayne can be found spending quality time with his family, friends, and wife, with whom they share 8 pets. He is an avid golfer and fisherman but when he's not outdoors he can be found gaming online with friends or catching up on tv shows such as Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, or the Lord of the Rings movies.

Teresa Alwine
Office Manager

Teresa grew up in Delaware County, PA and moved to West Chester in  2011 which is when she started her career at Weed Man. While she originally joined the team as an administrative assistant, Teresa quickly worked her way into her current position as Office Manager. In this position, she has many responsibilities including working directly with our customer service and technical teams and managing billing and payments. Above all, Teresa loves the closeness she has grown with her “second family” since working with Weed Man. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading true crime and spending time with her new puppy, Bently. 

Chris Beck 
Technical Manager

Philadelphia native Chris Beck started with Weed Man in 2016, working his way from Technician to Technical Manager. His degree from Drexel University along with his 25 years of experience in the industry help him with his position as he helps teach, manage, and motivate the technicians. Outside of work, Chris is a father and a husband. He also loves sports, being a diehard sports fan and coaching fast pitch softball. Additionally, Chris enjoys spending time watching Star Wars movies and listening to Aerosmith.
